I like to make sure that everyone is fully informed about how I run my business.
Booking an appointment with me means that you agree to all of these.
If you have any queries, please get in touch.
Terms & Conditions
1 This is a professional massage therapy business and as such, you are asked to give information about yourself, your health and medical history so that treatments can be planned to suit your personal requirements.
-
All information provided by the client will be kept confidential and will not be given out to anyone without the client’s permission.
-
Any contact information provided will only be used for marketing purposes with your agreement
-
Any medical/health information with-held by the client may affect the treatment provided and may harm the client if treatment is contraindicated.
-
Please discuss with the therapist any concerns you may have regarding the information requested.
2 I appreciate your business and take pride in offering professional care during my treatments. As treatment is ‘hands on’ it is necessary for you to advise your therapist of:
-
Any contagious or infectious conditions or skin problems that could harm or infect. It is recommended that the client cancels any appointment if suffering from a health condition that could be negatively affected by massage (e.g. fever, flu, alcohol/drug influence, conditions unapproved by your physician).
-
Any pain or discomfort experienced during your treatment. To provide you with the best treatment possible, feedback during your massage is required if you need the pressure we are using to be adjusted. It is not our aim to hurt, and we only want to work within your pain threshold.
-
Any special requirements relating to temperature, music, light, talking, allergies and/or aversions to certain waxes/base oils, essential oils.
3 As a professional, complementary health business, the therapist reserves the right to refuse their services if it is deemed necessary due to health or safety reasons. You are protected by the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights from the Health & Disability Commissioner. You can read them here. Additionally, as a member of Massage New Zealand, therapists are required to adhere to this Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice.
4 All treatments offered are strictly professional. Inappropriate behaviour, comments or suggestions will result in immediate termination of your session, payment will be collected in full and any future appointments will be denied.
5 The massage therapist reserves the right to decline massage bookings and/or treatments without any obligation to provide any reason for doing so.
6 Payments can be made by cash or eftpos at the time of your treatment. Internet banking is accepted prior to your appointment. If you choose to pay by credit, a 3% fee will be passed to you.
Pricing is stated on my services page and is subject to change at anytime without notice.
7 Cancellations can be made up to 48hrs in advance of your appointment. Cancellations within 12 working hours of your appointment and no shows will incur 100% of the treatment fee and gift-vouchers will be voided. These cancellation fees are to compensate for the therapists lost time and earning potential. There are some circumstances which I will not charge for, but these are up to my discretion.
If you are asked to pay a cancelation fee, but try not to, you will be resent the invoice weekly with a daily incremental cancelation fee added. If this still remains unpaid, your invoice will be passed to a debt collection agency.
8 As I often have consecutive appointments booked, I will shorten your treatment time as oppose to extending your finish time if you arrive late. To compensate for your therapist’s time, the full treatment amount will still apply no matter how late you are.
9 If you are in any way unhappy with your service received at this massage studio, I ask that you provide me with feedback, so I can ensure that I can make changes necessary to provide the public with the best service possible.
10 Vouchers, of any value, can be redeemed before their expiration date only. It is up to the voucher holder to book their treatment in advance, to avoid missing out. Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash, can not be split into multiple treatments, and will only be refunded (minus any transaction fees) before the expiration date should unforeseen circumstances arise that prevent the therapist from providing the service, or extending the expiration date.
Online voucher purchases include an online transaction fee. If you would like to avoid this additional fee, you are welcome to contact me to arrange manual payment of normal treatment amounts.
11 Mobile massage incurs a fee to cover travel and setup time. This will be dependant on the amount of time it takes to drive to your location.
12 Your email address is collected for appointment confirmations/reminders, and to update you with the happenings of our services. You can unsubscribe at any time, but you will still receive appointment confirmations and reminders.
